Fugitive From Hel
His tortured mind had no one to torment, and quickly degenerated into a new type of madness. Serkr's mind bounced back and forth between bouts of sobbing, and excruciating mental anguish that made him scream on and on. Serkr had been wrong all along. There was a place even worse than Nastrond, and it was here, locked within his own mind, that the beast within him ate away at his soul every day for an eternity.
Odin traveled to Niflheim to explain to Hel why he had not returned the human to her. At first the Queen of Dead was angry, but when Valfather explained that Serkr was a rare human, who could not be tormented by pain any longer, she agreed that Odin had made the right choice and that there was no reason for her to release her minions into the other worlds.
As Odin left Niflheim he could feel eyes watching him. And as Sleipnir rumbled across the Gjallarbru he turned and whispered to the dead calm of the settling mist.
" I will make you pay for this Loki ! "
Loki smiled as he emerged from the mist to stand beside Modgud. The Giantess who guarded the way to Hel turned to Loki and frowned when she saw a wicked grin on the Mischief Maker's face.
" Do you not worry that Great Odin will harm you or your brothers ? " she asked.
Loki laughed !
" It is Odin who should worry about the future. For this is not over ! This will never be over !! " he shouted to the fading hoof beats in the distance.
