When the Gods asked me to become a Godi ( NOT a priest, but simply someone who speaks to the Gods ) I began to settle into a different rhythm of life. I no longer cared that I was not handsome, and am now bald, or that I am not as good as many others. I am content with who I am because I am what the Gods have made me. I am not sure that I am happier now, but I am satisfied that I am who and where I should be.
My advice to all of you, who are younger, is stop trying to be someone else. Throw away the magazines with the covers that show all the " beautiful " people telling you how to lose weight, or look prettier. Ignore the commercials that tell you that you need to take supplements to be bigger and stronger. Turn off the world and look to the Gods to show you that what you are is what you are supposed to be. You do not need the fancy new cellphone, or the newest computer game to feel complete and content. Only through pride in yourself, for what you truly are, can you ever honor yourself with the contentment you deserve.
