' Hrindi : Queen Of Illusion '
Utgard Loki has always fascinated me, and I have often wondered why he was so fearful and cautious around strangers. ( See the story in the Eddas about Thor's visit with Utgard Loki for more info. ) From a dream I had about Utgard Loki and his mother Hrindi, ( Not spoken of in the Eddas ) I saw how the Jotuns persecuted the mother and son for their use of illusions, and condemned them as evil witches. Utgard Loki eventually escaped, but his mother paid the ultimate price.
Revenge is a recurring theme in the tales from Viking times, and in this story of, ' Hrindi : Queen Of Illusion ' , we meet an individual, falsely accused, convicted and imprisoned, who escapes, and is now looking to avenge the injustice done to her and her son. And Hrindi has a thousand lifetimes of anger and hatred to unleash on her Jotun persecutors !
I hope you like the story !
