420. Suckled By Mother Earth
Awaken ! Please awaken ! Sunna's bright rays seem to shout,
Offering up to dormant branches the chance to bud and sprout,
Bathed in her blessed sunshine stand the skeletons of the trees ,
Sunna smiles down her sacred magic light on everything she sees.
Like fingers reaching up to the heavens on solid wooden arms,
The trees struggle back to life in the cities, and the rural farms,
Each day brings life to the sleeping, which look forward to each dawn,
In the cycle of hibernation, and life, the ancient tree is but a pawn.
On the thawing ground lie winter's fallen, lifeless, the rotting dead,
It's decomposition becomes fertile food from which the seed is fed,
Spring up life's little offering, within Mother Jord's womb you shall thrive,
Make your way through Her porous skin, show the world you are alive.
From the tips of every fibrous wooden finger opens a tiny little shoot,
As the tree feeds from it's Mother Jord, up through it's massive root,
Spring is the season of the year for earthly beauty, a time for life's rebirth,
Smiled down upon by Sunna's light, and suckled by Mother Earth.
