I saw a man stabbed so deeply
by a wicked woman's words
her deceitful tongue was death to him,
yet all she said was a lie.
And a broken bone, once tended, can heal fairly fast.
A tumor, deeply rooted, can be cut out with a blade,
And a fever will relinquish, once the ailment has passed.
But a heart once broken, can take a long time to mend,
Torn in two, by the one you love, rendered cold and lost,
The pain of a love rejected, can remain until the bitter end,
And a life full of agony and regrets, become the final cost.
Much more pain can be caused, by just a single word,
Than the deepest wound, the sharpest blade can inflict.
A wicked sentence, once it has been spoken, and heard,
Is an affliction as crushing as the most painful lifetime verdict .
