307. The Far Traveler
On his head sits a wide brimmed hat.
His feet are covered by thick soled boots,
In his hand a rune carved walking stick.
He is a journeyman of the nine worlds,
A seeker of all knowledge and truth.
He walks in the shadows out of the light,
A careful wanderer who speaks to the dead.
A quiet caller, he is the unexpected guest,
The midnight visitor, an honored boarder.
He is the partaker of hospitality, the re-payer of debts,
An early riser, and the one who departs silently.
The wise one is unknowable, and unfathomable,
He is a mystery, and an enigma wrapped all in one.
An indistinct figure obscured in a fog of greatness,
He is beyond our grasp, for he is the noble far traveler.
