271. The Foolish Challenge
He told The Thunder God he was stronger because of his aim.
The archer boasted to Thor that he could compete with him toe to toe,
Then with a smile Ullr pulled out an arrow, and placed it on his bow.
Ullr shot dead center into an oak, arrows that numbered three,
Thor shook his head, threw his hammer, and splintered the tree.
Without as much as a word Ullr aimed at the sky killing a woodcock,
Mighty Thor summoned the lightning and brought down a whole flock.
Thor then asked Ullr to try and injure him with his bow and arrows,
Ullr fired fast, but Thor deflected each with Mjolnir's powerful blows.
Then Thor told the archer with a laugh, " It is now my turn to try ",
And he reached back as though he were about to let his hammer fly.
Ullr' s eyes widened as he told Thor," I could not have been wronger !"
"Thunderer you have won the contest, you are undoubtedly stronger ".
The Archer God admitted to Thor that he was without a doubt the best,
Thor laughed, and told Ullr, " For me the contest was all done in jest."
