Búri : The Beginning Of The Golden Age
To accompany Búri on his journey four warriors and two serving maidens honored themselves by being sacrificed, and laid to rest in the chamber next to the first being of the Aesir line. The next morning, just as Sunna appeared over the high peaks, and lighted the way into the tomb, Búri' s body was carried out of the temple, and laid on a marble bed in his chamber. Búri was dressed in full armor, and two swords were laid upon his chest. Over each of Búri 's eyes Odin placed two rune stones that he magically blessed. Odin chose the Raido rune to assist his grandfather on his long journey in the afterlife. As they left the grave mound, Odin and Borr closed behind them a massive iron door. On this door, written in the new runes Odin had acquired, Frigga had engraved the entire story that Búri had told them on that wonderful day at the farm.
