Our joy is however tempered by the knowledge that the days are growing shorter and that there is now a chill in the air when Sol is done with her daily journey. The growing season is almost over and we now start to see the first signs of color in the leaves of the forests. This is also a time to slow down and reflect back on what has transpired this year so far. A time to acknowledge our mistakes, with just enough time to correct them, before the year ends. It is also a time to build on our accomplishments and dream of loftier goals to finish out the year.
The Gods that I specially thank, ( I thank them all of course), during the Autumnal Equinox, or Fall Eve Night, are not only Odin, Freyja and Thor, but also Freyr, Sif, Gefjon, and of course during all growing and harvesting seasons, Jord, Great Mother Earth.
Remember that the Gods and Goddesses are with us and a part of us always, and that our ancestors are watching us with great expectations. Make them proud of us !
